Does that sound familiar to you?

If sustainability is professionally clear, but still stalls.

Sustainability roles are not difficult because of a lack of competence or plans. They are difficult because of conflicting goals, opposing interests, and often a lack of authority coming together.

The implementation is stalling

Measures have been decided, but there's a lack of commitment. Departments have their own priorities, decisions take time, and you constantly have to push.

You're stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Management, departments, employees, customers, regulations, and your own standards do not automatically pull in the same direction.

?
You doubt your impact

You bring a lot of expertise, but you wonder if you're doing enough. Not because you're unsuitable, but because the role is structurally demanding.

The problem isn't just with you.
Sustainability responsibility often means: a significant transformation mandate, numerous conflicting objectives, and at times, little formal power. Coaching is an effective space for reflection and problem-solving precisely for these challenges.

What coaching helps with

Less overthinking. More clarity, next steps, and impact.

In coaching, we work on your specific situation: your role, the conflicts in your field, and the next step that is genuinely feasible and effective.

Clarifying role

So that you don't have to carry everything at once, but know where your effective leverage lies.

  • Sort responsibilities
  • Prioritising
  • Reflecting self-doubts

Preparing conversations

So that difficult conversations don't get avoided, escalate or get stuck in justifications.

  • Prepare steering meetings
  • Work through resistances
  • Manage conflicts constructively

Empowering to act

So that complex situations become concrete options and realistic next steps.

  • Release blockages
  • Prepare decisions
  • Strengthening effectiveness without mandate
Who is this for?

For Sustainability Managers and Top Management

For Sustainability Managers

You want to increase your impact without wearing yourself out.

If you are to advance sustainability but depend on other areas, coaching strengthens your role, your communication skills, and your ability to act.

  • Professional role development instead of „personal deficit“
  • Better preparation for critical appointments
  • More clarity for internal justification and prioritisation

For Executives and Managers

Leading sustainability where there are no easy answers.

Coaching is worthwhile when you need to provide direction, while conflicting goals, knowledge gaps, and differing interests make implementation difficult.

  • Gaining more security in strategy, prioritisation and communication
  • Making policy conflicts between sustainability claims and business realities manageable
  • Strengthening sustainability managers instead of leaving them to implement it alone
My Coaching Approach

Solution focused. Confidential. Close to your sustainability practice.

Coaching doesn't come with ready-made answers. Instead you find your own. And grow from it.

Coaching is about your clarity, perspectives, and options for action. I ask questions, reflect patterns, and support you in developing concrete next steps. Together we reflect on you, and you grow with every insight.

  • Solution Focused CoachingWe don't dwell on problem analysis; instead, we focus on your resources, options for action, and concrete progress.
  • With sustainability experienceI am familiar with ESG, strategy, and transformation work from consulting. I will bring this context without dictating your solution in the coaching.
  • Clearly separatedCoaching is not a substitute for therapy, legal advice or expert advice. If another format is more appropriate, I will state that openly.

Qualifications and Ethics

I completed my coaching training at the SolutionsAcademy. I adhere to the Code of Ethics of the International Coaching Federation. In particular, confidentiality, a clear definition of the coaching mandate and a professional separation of roles are of paramount importance to me.

About Toni

Expert understanding of sustainability meets coaching.

I am Toni Koç, co-founder and partner at plant values. As a sustainability consultant, I have been supporting companies for over 10 years with sustainability strategy and transformation, related analyses, innovation, and hands-on implementation. I know sustainability from the boardroom right down to the colleagues in grounds maintenance.

In many projects, I have seen sustainability rarely fails solely at the concept stage. The impact is often decided in everyday life. In conversations, conflicts, priorities, responsibilities, and personal behavioural patterns.

That's why I combine a professional understanding of sustainability with solution focused coaching. For people who don't just want to understand sustainability, but really want to drive it forward within the company.

Frequently Asked Questions

What you might want to know before the first conversation

Is the coaching confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is a fundamental principle of coaching. Even if the coaching is commissioned by a company, we agree transparently on what information may and may not be shared between the coach, coachee, and client.

Is coaching possible when plant values is advising our company?

Yes, but only with clear role separation. We will clarify in advance whether coaching, consulting, or a combination would be beneficial. In the case of concurrent consulting, we pay particular attention to confidentiality, role clarification, and potential conflicts of interest.

Do I receive professional sustainability advice in coaching?

Not in the strictest sense. Coaching is about your role, clarity, impact, and ability to act. If professional sustainability advice is needed, we address this openly and keep the formats strictly separate.

Coaching is not suitable for medical or psychological conditions that require professional medical or therapeutic intervention. It is also not appropriate for legal advice or financial planning.

Coaching does not replace psychotherapy, medical treatment, or legal advice. If another form of support is more appropriate, I will openly discuss it.

How many sessions are sensible?

For an acute issue, a single session can already be helpful. For role clarification, conflicts, or personal development, several appointments are advisable. Management and senior executives often wish for long-term support for their continuous development. We will clarify this together in the orientation meeting.

How can I, as a sustainability manager, justify coaching internally?

Coaching strengthens personal effectiveness in a role that often comes without formal power but with a high degree of responsibility for transformation. It can help to implement sustainability strategies more effectively, handle conflicts more constructively, and prepare decisions more efficiently.

Does that work for you?

If you're currently at a point where sustainability is clearer from a technical perspective than from a human or organisational one, then let's talk. In a free discovery call, we'll clarify what your situation involves and whether coaching is the right format for it.
