Sustainable corporate management refers to the pursuit of sustainable development by the management of a company. The management endeavours to harmonise social, ecological and economic sustainability (triple bottom line). This does not describe a purely top-down approach. Corporate management can also work in a steering manner to ensure that sustainability is actively promoted by all employees and departments (bottom-up).
