Stands for the concept of "Education for Sustainable Development" (ESD). It is about empowering individuals and groups to work together (globally) for sustainable development. This means that people are taught skills, (specialised) knowledge, attitudes and tools to facilitate sustainable action and decisions. ESD can be applied in schools, daycare centres, adult education centres or other projects, for example.
