Who is planning values?

plant values is a leading sustainability consultancy for SMEs and public companies in Germany. We combine strategy development, GHG accounting (Scope 1-3), CSRD and VSME reporting and change management - realisable, ambitious and co-creative. We have supported organisations from the energy supply, science/universities, trade, IT, tourism and social institutions in over 300 projects.

How do we differ?

We work on transformation instead of „sustainability on top“: we combine technical depth (GHG Protocol, CSRD/ESRS, DNK, SBTi logics) with strong implementation methods (roadmaps, KPIs, monitoring). Our style: empowering, progressive, authentic, approachable. With clear decisions for impact, not for window dressing.

Which sectors do we specialise in?

We have extensive experience with municipal utilities/energy suppliers, public companies, cultural organisations, universities, retail, IT, services, tourism and social institutions. We offer industry expertise, benchmarks and reusable best practices.
However, we are increasingly transferring our experience to the manufacturing industry, FMCGs, automotive and other sectors.

What honours and qualifications do we have?

plant values was a finalist for the German Sustainability Award 2024 and nominated in 2025.
We have been a training partner / pilot of the German Sustainability Code since 2017, making us one of the first in the industry.
Our team members have the following qualifications, among others: Accredited TourCert Consultant, Cradle To Cradle Catalyst, Climate Management Officer according to GUTcert, TÜV Environmental Manager, Certified Credit Analyst (DVFA)

How do we live our own sustainability?

We see ourselves as an experimental space for operational sustainability. Naturally, we balance our emissions, prioritise reductions (energy, travel, procurement) and offset any remaining emissions. We focus on our handprint by empowering our customers to become even more sustainable. We implement an individual, needs-based salary structure. We share our knowledge publicly and extensively in our blog. Our DNK report documents targets, measures and progress.

Are we independent?

Yes, no kickbacks, no technology commissions. Recommendations are made solely on the basis of professional suitability and impact. We disclose potential conflicts of interest.

How is the team organised?

Our team at plant values is diverse in terms of expertise and professional background. We combine many years of experience in sustainability, management consulting and climate expertise with a deep understanding of various industries. Our consultants come from the fields of economics, engineering, environmental sciences, social sciences and communications. This interdisciplinary collaboration enables us to develop innovative solutions that are both technically sound and socially relevant.

What values do we live by internally?

We are family-orientated, progressive, promote authentic sustainability and see ourselves as an experimental space for progressive sustainability. These 4 values guide how we interact with each other as a team and how we manage and develop our company. Our internal values go hand in hand with our other 4 work values.

How are we organised?

At plant values, all members will become shareholders in the short or long term. This means that we are all entrepreneurially active and responsible. This enables us to realise our full potential, drive our own direction and live participation to the full.
