Ideas for green marketing and guerrilla marketing

1. green graffiti

Moss, grass and other greenery can be used to create impressive "graffiti" on façades and billboards. Here, green marketing and guerrilla marketing are combined in a cheap way. At the same time, chemicals for paints and the like are saved. Great examples are here→ collected.

2. email instead of letter

If masses of information have to be sent to customers or business partners, for example, then this definitely no longer has to be done by letter. E-mails are easier, faster and cheaper. In both cases, the content is usually only read once anyway. If special mailings are required, there are great examples for attractively designed mails.

Specifically, an email emits an average of 1-10 grams of CO2, while a letter emits 20 grams of CO2. Unfortunately, significantly more emails are also written. To avoid this rebound effect, we can all practise keeping our email communication efficient. (The figures to read)

3. avoid catalogues and use files

Reaching regular customers and fans with the latest products and the entire portfolio is as important as ever. But often it doesn't have to be a printed 100-page catalogue. Well-designed PDF catalogues look great and are also easy to search for important information, whereas physical catalogues can quickly become annoying due to the lengthy browsing.

4. paper-free event organisation

Brochures, handouts, programmes - before the event, during the event and often afterwards. Here too, companies can set an example for sustainable event organisation and save paper and printing. With apps like lineupr can display all the necessary event information digitally, are usually clearer and offer additional functions such as communication between participants. Even as an organiser, digital event organisation has advantages. Documentation and follow-up support are usually collected in one application.

5. green marketing through space branding: plants and green logos

The image of many companies is also determined by their offices and workspaces. If you want to show your green streak, you will find more and more opportunities to design your own rooms with plants and green murals instead of overpriced furniture. Many companies are leading the way and report a significant increase in employee satisfaction in their offices. This provider has some impressive examples.

Various studies have also shown the positive effects of plants in the office on air quality and the mood of those who work there.

6. cleanvertising

Cleanvertising is another great example of how green marketing and guerrilla marketing go hand in hand. It uses the natural environment to convey messages and content. Sculptures made of sand, hedges cut into the shape of a logo, stones stacked in the shape of the last building. The creativity is endless and little or no additional resources are needed. In collaboration with artists and designers, eye-catching and environmentally friendly marketing spaces can be created.

7. useful ecological merchandise

Many companies want to give promotional gifts for certain situations from time to time. Pens, tags and the like are rarely used or thrown away. Instead, the question is what the target group can really use: Notebooks made from grass papercare products made from natural raw materials, fair teas, organic spices or other consumer products tailored to the target group.

Surprise your customers with something really practical and show them that the environment is important to you.

8. environmentally friendly giveaways

If you want to go one step further, give your customers or business partners products that actively help the environment. These range from tree sponsorships to seeds for new office plants and outdoor greenery. We are always particularly enthusiastic about seed bombs, such as those from Seedbomb City.

9. reverse graffiti

Reverse graffiti is de facto the reverse of graffiti. They are another excellent example of the fusion of green marketing and guerrilla marketing. Either a dirty surface is partially cleaned with a water jet or a surface is treated with (environmentally friendly) wax so that the message is only visible after rain. Absolutely creative and at the same time much more resource-efficient than sprayed graffiti.

10. favour environmentally conscious suppliers when printing

Not all printing is the same. More and more providers have specialised in developing environmentally friendly processes. They use energy-saving devices, use resource-saving papers and adapt the colour schemes accordingly. An online search for "eco-friendly printers" will yield many exciting results. Many of today's green printing providers can provide certificates for the use of ecological materials or even that they are climate neutral can print.

11. use grass paper for special prints

If you have special prints, want to create a real eye-catching effect and at the same time protect the environment, you should take a look at grass paper. The special look makes a lasting impression and is a good reflection of your own commitment to the environment. Our partner Matabooks e.g. accepts various enquiries and also prints our plant values business cards on grass paper.

Beyond marketing: think strategically about sustainability and consider it as a whole

For the big change in companies and organisations, it can go beyond green marketing. That is why we offer support in the development of a Sustainability strategy or to jointly develop suitable measures.
