Dresden, 17 September 2025. In the summer of 2015, exactly ten years ago, it all began with an idea, a little persuasion and a dose of optimism: young consultants founded the company in Dresden plant valuesa sustainability consultancy that now operates throughout Germany.
Based on student involvement with PAUL Consultants e. V. at the TU Dresden, the plan values team has developed into an established contact for companies and organisations that want to shape sustainability effectively.
With the founding idea "Just get started..."
"Just get started and see how far we get!"remembers Co-founder Steve Grundig recalls the beginnings with his partner Toni Koç. "At first, it wasn't at all clear whether it would work and whether we could be successful as a sustainability consultancy. But with passion, honesty and perseverance, we worked our way forward step by step."
Initially, the focus was on start-up consulting, small assignments such as research, balance sheets on sustainability topics and workshops, e.g. as a participation format for the Dresden City of the Future project. Today, with a team of seven and a strong network of stakeholders in the sustainability scene, plant values can look back on over 300 successfully implemented projects with many very satisfied customers.
Sustainability consulting for numerous industries
The consultancy supports companies, public institutions, non-profit organisations and associations on topics such as Sustainability strategy and management, climate protection, social justice, responsible corporate governance and reporting. Always at the centre: working together as equals with customers, partners and as a team.
In addition to consulting projects, the team is now known for its contributions as keynote speakers, practice-based book and blog contributions, lecturers at universities and in-house or industry-wide training courses. Plant values is particularly appreciated for its focus on practical solutions to complex challenges and its empowering, motivating approach. You could also describe it as helping people to help themselves.
The clientele is diverse. These include municipal utilities, trade and manufacturing, property companies, IT companies, book publishers, universities, tourism associations and social organisations from all German-speaking countries. In future, consulting services will also be offered in English.

Steve Grundig thanks customers, network partners and all supporters and companions on the occasion of the company's 10th anniversary: "Without you, plant values would not be what it is. We have learnt a lot and achieved a lot - together with people who want to think differently about business.
The following underlines the successful work of the past decade: in 2024, plant values was one of the Top 3 at the German Sustainability Award in its category. Such milestones and the birthday are celebrated together in the team and with the network. Whether online, live or in hybrid formats, there is always a suitable solution to meet the various requirements.
The company is looking ahead with confidence for the coming years. "With every order and consulting project, we are advancing sustainability on a large and small scale.
